Namaki's birth
"What if we created a palette of tools to meet children's desires and reassure parents?" That's the crazy challenge taken up in 2013 by Marie-Laure and Vincent, both engineers with a forthright mindset.
Their ambition: to lift a priori on disguise make-up, offering children an alternative to:
- questionable ingredients;
- materials that are sometimes difficult to apply;
- and making it easy to get started with easy-to-make models.
Based in the Drôme department, a pioneer in organic farming, they draw inspiration from the surrounding cultures and local colors. In 2013, they finally gave birth to Namaki, which stands for NAtural MAke-up for KIds (natural make-up for kids), the first brand of natural and organic disguise make-up.
Namaki grows and asserts itself
"When we launched Namaki, people thought we were crazy! Today, we are proud to have come this far without denying our values."
VINCENT BASCOUL, FOUNDER OF NAMAKI
A committed company
Both make-up and toys, our products comply with European cosmetics regulations (CE n°1223/2009) and the CE toy standard (EN 71-1/2/3). As a natural and organic range, they also meet the specifications of the Cosmos Organic label. Certifications are part of the company's DNA.
But our efforts don't stop at product formulation. We offer eco-designed products and recyclable packaging. We think about our impact at every level. For example, we make and paint our own stand furniture for trade shows. Rather than throwing it away, we use it at home, in the company. And the self-adhesive wall decorations show the color on our walls. Finally, we also subcontract all our product packaging to an ESAT (Établissement et Service d'Aide par le Travail).
Every day, we strive to make Namaki an ethical cosmetics brand that respects the planet and its inhabitants. Choosing Namaki also means giving children the guidance they need to become the responsible consumers of tomorrow.
Strong local roots
Namaki Cosmetics regularly supports events organized by associations and schools. In particular, we are involved with the Association Regards Croisés which aims to raise public awareness on the subject of disability.
Our company is also involved with professional associations such as the Bio Cluster to promote the organic sector in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region and CosmébioFrench organic cosmetics association.
