Small spaces (and rainy days) don't have to be a hindrance to fun! When you can only keep busy indoors, it's essential to capture children's attention while stimulating their creativity and motor skills. To avoid boredom and screens all day long, here are five fun and easy ideas to keep your children occupied in the apartment.
#1 - A dance session for children
Movement is essential, even indoors! Offer your children a yoga session adapted to the little ones, with animal-inspired postures. Put on some music and organize a mini-boom with their favorite songs and some dimmed lights for a festive atmosphere. You can also try a blind test or create a team song battle with the older children. It's up to you to come up with the wackiest challenges: singing while clenching a pencil between your teeth, singing on one foot... All in all, a great way to have fun in the apartment and keep the beat!

💡"How about turning off the sound?" The sound of the music, of course! Turn on the music and ask the children to dance. Then stop it without warning: they must stop moving and remain as still as statues.
#2 - A creative DIY workshop
Get out the crayons, paint and colored paper for an imaginative art activity. Your choice:
- giant jigsaw puzzle: draw a huge landscape on several thick sheets glued together and secured to the floor with masking tape. Children can color them freely and then cut them out to make a puzzle.
- Magic drawing: the first player begins a drawing by tracing a few lines. One after the other, the other children complete the character or landscape, imagining a scene that's either realistic or completely eccentric, but so much fun.
💡Over several afternoons, you can make puppets out of socks or paper and invent a show. Create the cardboard theater set, prepare the invitation cards and practice for the most beautiful puppet show.
#3 - A make-up and masquerade costume workshop
Turn your living room into a make-up and costume studio! With Namaki's natural and organic make-up specially designed for children, let them bring their favorite characters to life: superheroes, animals, princesses or pirates. Thanks to our two ranges, children can :
–Dressing up with water-based eyeshadows, pencils and hair mascaras in bright, sparkling colors. Lacking imagination? Eureka, the tutorials are here: in every pallete on our website or on our youtube channel.
- Have fun with products and fly to a new world fairytale world with the soft, light colors of eyeshadow, lip balm and nail polish. A touch of magic with Glitter powder and you're done.
- Combine products for even greater creativity!
💡Add a few accessories and put on a little fashion show. So fun!
#4 - An impromptu treasure hunt
You don't need a big garden to organize an exciting treasure hunt! Hide objects (toys, sweets, small gifts) and write clues adapted to the age of your children. You can even create a treasure map for total immersion. To add an extra level of difficulty, turn the hunt into a treasure hunt, with challenges at each stage (miming an animal, solving a riddle, singing a song...). Easy to set up even in small spaces, the challenges can be carried out individually or in collaborative mode to develop team spirit and ensure lots of laughs.

#5 - A science lab at home
There's nothing like fun science experiments to amaze children and help them discover the magic of chemical reactions! With just a few simple ingredients, you can offer them two fascinating activities:
- Safe, homemade slime made from food ingredients only. Heat 180g of marshmallows in the microwave to melt, then mix. You can now add food coloring and mix again. Continue by adding cornstarch and kneading. Finish by gradually adding the rest of the cornstarch (100g in total). Knead for a good ten minutes until the dough is sufficiently consistent and extensible. The resulting dough is less sticky than that sold on the market, but your child can knead it without risk. An ideal sensory experience for curious little ones!
- Lava lamp with vegetable oil (⅔) and water (1/3), food coloring and an effervescent tablet (aspirin type). Pour the oil into a jar or vase until ⅔ full. Add water and observe. Then add a few drops of food coloring. The dye doesn't mix and settles at the base of the oil. Then throw an effervescent tablet into the bottle and observe the reaction.
Simple, fun experiments to keep kids busy while stimulating their scientific curiosity!
With a little imagination, days at home can become real adventures! Whether it's face-painting, dancing, treasure hunts or creative workshops, there are a thousand and one ways to have fun at home.
